Alameda:
Saturday, July 4. Alameda's 4th of July Parade at 10 a.m. is the longest Independence Day parade in the nation, with over 170 floats that travel a three mile route. It's followed by a festival from noon to 4 p.m. No fireworks. www.myalamedaparade.com

The festival and baseball game both take place at the San Jose Municipal Stadium. The San Jose America Festival which normally takes place at Discovery Meadow has been cancelled.
