GRETCHEN LANCOUR TAKES OVER EVENINGS FOR ALICE @ 97.3
San Francisco, CA (March 25, 2009) – Alice @97.3 (KLLC, www.radioalice.com) is pleased to announce the addition of Gretchen Lancour to the station’s evening lineup beginning , Monday March 30th. Gretchen Lancour will be heard on the airwaves of Alice @ 97.3 weeknights from 7p until midnight.
“Gretchen is a solid Bay Area personality and one of the original hosts that built the station’s success” said Vice President of Programming Michael Martin. “She brings an intimate knowledge of the station, the audience and the music. Gretchen has that ‘Alice’ edge that our listeners expect to hear on the station and is the perfect fit for evenings.”

Gretchen Lancour's broadcasting career began in the 1970s with a Mr. Microphone, a transistor radio, and a dream. She landed her first real radio job in 1992, as music director and midday host at WGTZ in Dayton, Ohio. In 1996, she moved to Alice @ 97.3 in San Francisco, where she hosted the midday show through 2002. She moved to the night show on Alice @ 97.3 from 2002 until 2005.
Gretchen has reported news and traffic for several bay area radio stations, and anchored a weekend entertainment segment for CBS 5 (KPIX) TV. She hosted weekends on the KFRC during the summer of 2006. After taking some time off from radio to stay home with a new baby, she came back to weekends on Alice @ 97.3 in 2008.
